The Keeper of the Self

As women, as mothers we are multidimensional beings.

We play many different roles in our life and one of the key roles, one of the crucial roles that we play in our life is The Keeper of the Self.

What does that mean?

It means that we are beholden to no one.

That we take responsibility for ourselves first.

If we are to be truly happy and living in flow and in alignment, then we do really need to take care of ourselves first and learn to serve from overflow.

And what that means is first and foremost we start with the self.

We are the keeper of the self.

It is nobody else's responsibility to take care of us, unless we are first taking care of ourselves.

Something I teach my students:

Our energy is our currency and that energy is to be protected.

Because it is like a currency.

It is our currency and if we are to serve from overflow, we need to be aware of where we are leaking energy, where are we giving away our energy unnecessarily.

It’s two fold.

It’s about protecting our energy and really working to, on a daily basis, to replenish that energy and for that to be a non-negotiable in your life and also looking at the other side of it and ensuring that we are not unnecessarily leaking that energy.

You need to establish what are your non-negotiables and set nice, clear, loving boundaries around them.

Journal prompts:

Where am I leaking energy unnecessarily?

What are my non-negotiables?

Much love and aloha,

Dagmara
