Healing the Mother Wound


The love of a mother is such a sweet love.

It is our first love.

Our first relationship in love.

Through the love of our mother, we learn about love, and our own worthiness.


This relationship lays such a foundation for how we perceive love, ourselves and the world.

Whether we feel worthy or not of receiving love.

So what happens when this relationship is distorted.

When we don’t receive what we need, what is our birthright?

When we make it mean something about us that is clearly not true?

When we engage in a series of intimate relationships trying to fill that void.


How do you begin to untangle it all?

How do you begin to heal?


First, create a SAFE PLACE where you can begin to process.

That can look like an hour set aside, bedroom door locked, journal in hand or you going for a walk alone in nature.


Second, is AWARENESS.

Awareness is everything.

Awareness is the process of beginning to see what is.

Whether that’s through meditation or free writing.

For some it’s being alone in nature.
